The Mykonos windmills are iconic feature of the island and of the Cyclades. Capped with wood and straw, the conical structures date back to Venetian times.

A short drive from Mykonos town is the traditional village called Ano Mera. It is home to a monastery that dates back to the 16th century called the Panagia Tourliani Monastery.
